THE LOCATION
Flic en Flac is the perfect place to experience Mauritian life. Considered a village by the coast, it is very popular for its long pristine beaches, almost desert during the week and very lively on the weekends once it is animated by the locals camping and enjoying the beach life, Flic en Flac is quite central to reach all corners of the island easily. And this house particularly is ideally situated in a calm neighbourhood between the coast line and the main roads leading to the rest of Mauritius. Although we recommend renting a car for freely discover all the marvels the island has to offer, Flic en Flac is well is well served by buses and taxis SELF-CATERING
Your accommodation rental is Self-Catering and you are therefore responsible to maintain and return it clean. You will be supplied with arrival essentials (toilet paper, trash bag, hand soap, cleaning products, etc) but it is for you to purchase and replace as you consume. |
CHILDREN ARE PEOPLE TOO! On several levels with stairs to climb up and down, its sloping garden and the swimming pool that is not fenced, the property is not secured for young children; however under you own supervision and responsibility, we are welcoming to everyone including young guests. Still, we cannot provide free accommodations for children OF ANY AGE. We love children and welcome yours but all fees and total number of guest limit apply, this also in compliance with accommodation law and insurance. Baby Cots for under 2 years old are available on request. Please specify number of children and their age when getting in touch pre-booking. TROPICAL ISLAND = TROPICAL BUGS
They are tiny and armless, still mosquitoes can be a pest and our local geckoes are not enough to chase them all. While for in-door/out-door the plug-in or coil mosquito repellent are effective, we recommend you use anti-mosquito cream to freely move around, specifically in summer and from dusk. Having the privilege to live in this region of the island still somewhat preserved and authentic, where the fauna and flora have kept some rights; we share the place with the local animals and insects whose habitats surround us. Inhabitants of sanitized cities, be reassured, the island is pacifist and its small animals too! |
CAR IS ESSENTIAL
Despite how much you like walking and wish to experience the public transport, we strongly recommend you rent a car to feel free to come and go visiting the marvels the island as to offer. Of course the property comes with free parking for 2 cars.
